Privacy Policy
Effective August 27, 2026. Priority Ping is a private urgent-alert app operated by the Priority Ping developer ("we" or "us"). Contact prioritypingapp@gmail.com.
We use account, trusted-person, device-token, ping, optional voice, billing, ad-consent, security, and limited analytics data to operate and protect Priority Ping. We do not sell personal information, request precise location, or put message/voice content into analytics.
Information we process
Account and trusted-person data
- Firebase account ID, email, sign-in provider, email-verification state, and nickname.
- Trusted pairs, requests, shared-invite status, consent and mute settings, and Premium entitlement.
- Dev, Stage, and Prod support passwordless Email Link, Google, and Apple sign-in. No flavor offers anonymous, phone, or password-entry sign-in.
Pings and optional voice
We process urgent message text, sender/recipient IDs, alert choices, delivery/acknowledgement state, timestamps, and—when chosen—a short voice clip with duration, size, content type, and temporary Storage path. Priority Ping does not request contacts or precise location.
Device, security, and diagnostics
We process a random installation ID, FCM token, app/Android version, notification readiness, App Check/Play Integrity signals, server logs, rate limits, abuse counters, errors, and limited product analytics. Analytics excludes message text, voice content, email, nickname, and precise location. A trusted-person token may pass through Play Install Referrer to resume an invite after installation.
When you tap Send message on the Help screen, Priority Ping transmits the message through its Firebase backend to the developer's private Discord support channel. The backend obtains the signed-in account email from Firebase Authentication so the developer can identify the account and reply if necessary; the app does not send a client-supplied email or UID. Optional diagnostics are off by default and, when selected, include only app/build version, Android/API version, manufacturer/model, and bounded recent in-app errors. Messages are limited to 2,000 characters and subject to abuse limits.
Optional Calendar Quiet Hours
Calendar Quiet Hours is enabled from the Calendar Quiet Hours settings inside the app. When you choose this feature, Priority Ping requests Android calendar read permission. Event titles, descriptions, locations, attendees, calendar names, and meeting details are read and analyzed locally on your device. No calendar event information is transmitted to Priority Ping or Firebase, collected for remote storage, or shared with third parties. The app may synchronize only a generic derived mute-until timestamp for the signed-in installation so trusted senders can be told that alerts are currently silent. That timestamp does not contain or identify a calendar event.
Ads, consent, and purchases
Free accounts can see Google AdMob ads. Google's UMP can process consent choices; depending on consent and settings, Google may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device/app information, ad interactions, and diagnostics. Reward verification uses limited session identifiers. Google Play processes payments; Priority Ping receives product/order/package/purchase verification data but not payment-card details.
How we use and share data
We use data to authenticate, pair trusted people, deliver and acknowledge alerts, play optional voice, apply optional locally selected Calendar Quiet Hours, remember settings, restore Premium, verify ad rewards, prevent fraud, secure Firebase, diagnose problems, and understand core-flow reliability.
We use Google Firebase, Play, AdMob, and UMP services. Help requests are delivered to the developer's private Discord support channel, so Discord processes the support message, signed-in account email, and any diagnostics you chose to include as the support destination/service provider. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We otherwise share data only to operate a requested trusted interaction, comply with law, or protect users/service. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
- Ping history: scheduled for deletion after 15 days.
- Voice clips: expire after approximately 24 hours.
- Direct pair requests: expire after 30 minutes. Shared links: expire after 7 days and are one-time use.
- Device tokens: retained while registered, then removed on sign-out/deletion/replacement or stale-token cleanup.
- Account/pair/settings/entitlement data: retained while the account is active.
- Reward, security, rate-limit, billing-verification, and operational records: retained only as reasonably needed for integrity, fraud prevention, reconciliation, law, and reliability. Some purchase records may be anonymized.
Google or other processors may retain backups/logs under their own schedules after active Priority Ping data is deleted.
Your choices and deletion
Android controls notification, microphone, calendar, DND, and channel access. Calendar access is optional and requested from inside the app when you choose Calendar Quiet Hours; the feature remains off if you decline it. Revoking access stops calendar processing and clears the installation's derived mute state. UMP offers consent choices where required. Optional flashlight and voice features can be disabled in the app. Help diagnostics are optional and off by default. The support message and server-derived account email are sent to the private Discord support channel when you tap Send message; Priority Ping does not open an email app or require a separate email-authorization checkbox.
Delete in Profile → Delete account, visit the account-deletion page, or email us from the account address. Active profile, pairs, requests, pings, voice, devices, and app state are removed, subject to the limited retention above.
Security and children
We use Firebase rules, server authorization, App Check/Play Integrity, encrypted transport, short-lived invite tokens, limited voice access, and rate limits. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Priority Ping is not directed to children under 13. A person who cannot legally consent in their location should not create an account without a parent or guardian where permitted.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or legal requirements change. The effective date will change and material updates will remain available here. Contact prioritypingapp@gmail.com.
